Desk & Reception
Due to the current increase in Corona infections, the welcome desk at Kalkbreite and the reception at Zollhaus will be closed from Monday, December 13, 2021 until further notice. The Guesthouse Flex team can be reached by phone and email as usual: Monday through Friday, 8am to 11am / 2pm to 7pm.

Guesthouse rooms and Flex meeting rooms remain bookable online. By making a reservation, organizers and guests must comply with the operational measures currently applicable against the pandemic (in accordance with the provisions of the FOPH):

Guesthouse Kalkbreite and Guesthouse Z

  • PCR test: Guests show a negative PCR test upon entry into Switzerland, no later than 4:00 pm on the day of arrival. PCR tests are currently valid for 72 hours.
  • Obligatory BAG measures: Upon guesthouse reservations at the Kalkbreite Cooperative, all guests are responsible for complying with the current measures imposed by the Swiss Federal Council against the pandemic.
  • Mandatory Mask Wearing: At the Kalkbreitestrasse 6 and Zollstrasse 121 guesthouse locations, masks are required in all public areas of the corresponding property. Masks and social distancing measures also apply to the corridors, showers and restrooms of the guesthouses.
  • Booking with reservation: All bookings are made under reservation. In case of negative pandemic developments, we reserve the right to close our facilities.
  • Cancellation: Guests are requested to cancel bookings if they or their fellow travellers feel ill or have had contact with persons infected with COVID-19.

Flex meeting rooms Kalkbreite and Zollhaus

  • Organizer Obligations: The contractual partner booking the Kalkbreite Cooperative flex rooms is considered the organizer. By making a reservation for a flex room, the organizer undertakes the responsibility of implementing the current pandemic measures imposed by the Swiss Federal Council in the rented room(s). It is the organiser’s duty to ensure that all participants of the event comply with the current measures specified by the FOPH.
  • Obligatory Mask Wearing: In the publicly accessible indoor areas of the Kalkbreite cooperative (Kalkbreitestrasse 6, Zollstrasse 117 and 121), wearing masks is compulsory. Obligatory mask wearing now required in indoor areas where a certificate obligation applies, with the exception of private meetings.
  • Certificate Requirement: A Covid-19 certificate proves that someone is vaccinated, recovered or tested negative (3G). The certificate requirement now applies to all indoor events (concerts, sporting events, club events, seminars, private events such as weddings outside private quarters). The existing exception for permanent groups of less than 30 persons is not longer valid. Organizers are responsible for verification of certificates.
  • Catering: Catering is only available at events with Covid certification.
  • Compulsory seating for meals with 3G access: For catering offers in indoor areas, compulsory seating applies during the consumption of meals.
  • Booking with reservation: All bookings are made under reservation. In case of negative pandemic developments, we reserve the right to close our facilities.
  • Cancellation: Guests are requested to cancel bookings if they or their fellow travellers feel ill or have had contact with persons infected with COVID-19.

Kalkbreite Cafeteria, Residential and Commercial Buildings
Due to the measures issued by the Swiss Federal Council to contain the coronavirus, use of the cafeteria is exclusively for residents and commercial employees of Kalkbreite only, effective 06.12.2021. For guests of the Kalkbreite Guesthouse and external users of the flex rooms, the cafeteria will remain closed until further notice. Residents and employees of Kalkbreite are responsible for ensuring that the current measures of the FOPH are complied with.
